Trent wants the group to infiltrate the facility, steal the codebook, and take down Umbrella once and for all. The facility's overseer, a man named Reston, is one of three people in the world in possession of a codebook which would allow access to all of Umbrella's most secret documents.

Trent informs the group of an Umbrella facility in Utah, used to test and train the company's experimental biological weapons. While in the air, their plane is redirected by the mysterious Trent, an enigmatic figure who has been guiding and manipulating events throughout the entire series of novels. members for further operations against the evil Umbrella Corporation.

Kennedy, Claire Redfield, and the survivors of the Caliban Cove incident are en route to Europe to rendezvous with the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. So yush, I'd definitely recommend the novels as worth a read." Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and their companions take on the awesome power of Umbrella, the mysterious megacorporation that is creating terrifying biological weapons, as they set out to find the key to stopping Umbrella forever." Barry Burton or Sherry Birkin are two examples I'll give) The books are well-written, and offer a bit more insight into the game than you might have considered when first playing though (such as what happens to more minor characters and helps explain why they act the way they do. I certainly liked all of them, and found The Umbrella Conspiracy and City of the Dead to be my two favorites of the series (Resident Evil 1+2 were one of the most enjoyable games I've played to date).

They're not bad, and they're all pretty enjoyable reads, but as Otaking said, the two that aren't based on the video games don't seem to be as enjoyable as the ones that are.

They're accurate with the gaming history (unlike the horrid excuses for the movies)Ĭaliban Cove and Underworld are the two books that were created by S.D Perry, and aren't part of the official gaming series. The Umbrella Conspiracy (The original Resident Evil), City of the Dead (Resident Evil 2), Nemesis (Resident Evil 3), Code Veronica (names says it all) and Zero Hour (Resident Evil 0) are all pretty decent reads, and are surprisingly loyal to the gaming series. I've read all the novel books so far, and I can agree with what Otaking says.
